Freegate

Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 June 2026

Freegate is a client app for viewing a Frigate NVR instance that you own and operate. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

What the app does

Freegate connects to a Frigate NVR server you control and shows you its live cameras, recordings, and detected events. The app does not provide camera hardware, recordings, storage, or detection - those come from your own Frigate setup.

Your responsibilities

Notifications

Push notifications are optional. If you enable them, the app pairs once with our notification relay at freegate-notifications.cagriari.com.tr, which forwards encrypted alerts from your Frigate server to your device via Apple Push Notification service. The relay is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed delivery or uptime. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored on it.

No warranty

The app and the notification relay are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Cagri IT Services OÜ disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. Freegate is not suitable for safety-critical use; do not rely on it as the sole alert mechanism for emergencies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cagri IT Services OÜ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Freegate.

Not affiliated with Frigate

Freegate is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Frigate NVR project.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
